Welcome on our site :
Our 18 th century house
What is a gîte ?
What is a "Bed and Breakfast" ?
" Quatre Salines. " Historicaly, it was a village where people used to extract salt from the sea.
This village is built on a "polder", which was land
reclaimed from the sea by constructing dykes between the years 1024 and 1934.
Panorama taken in "Roz sur Couesnon" 600 m from the house The land is ideal for growing vegetables. On the other side of the "polders" there are 1300 acres of grassland and the most important salt water meadows of the bay.
It is in this land of grassland that the famous "pré salé" sheep is reared.
3600 sheep which is the largset flock in britanny, graze on the 800 hectares of grassland at "Roz sur Couesnon".
